TON VS. TONNE

In American English, a ton is a unit of measurement equaling 2,000 pounds. A tonne, also known as an imperial ton, is a unit of mass equaling 2204.6 lbs.

Simply a 205 lbs difference!

CONVERSION

1 Tonne= 2204.6 lbs

DELIVERIES – QUANTITIES

Carr Caddy is a bag that holds 1 Yard (volume) or 1 Tonne (weight).

Tandem can hold 16 metric tonnes or 16 yards.

Tri-Axle (we have 2) can hold 24 yards or 22 metric tonnes.

How many LBS can your Truck or Trailer hold!?
  • Even a light truck should be able to carry 800 pounds.
  • Pickup trucks are typically designed for half ton (1000 lbs)
  • Three quarter ton (1500 lbs)
  • One ton (2000 lbs) capacities.
The owner’s manual will tell you

For example, the Chevy S10 with a 4 cylinder was rated for 1000 lbs load capacity. If the driver weighs 200 lbs. that leaves 800 lbs of load capacity.
